It all started in 2006 when two University of British Columbia student-athletes needed summer work.
The UBC students began knocking on doors in Vancouver in 2006, asking homeowners if they wanted window washing or gutter cleaning, and providing an estimate on the spot.
At the beginning, it was students carrying buckets, squeegees, and mops and amazingly enough, Vancouver homeowners took to the idea of having hard-working young people wash their home.
The next summer, the UBC students went back to the previous year's window and gutter cleaning customers and did the washing again.
By the third year, Green Grads Window and Gutter Cleaning added pressure washing, and the company was operating year-round by expanding across the Lower Mainland to serve Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Langley, Delta, Ladner, Tsawwassen, and White Rock.

In the last few years a curious thing happened...as our business has grown-up, so have the people who work for us. Our service technicians are a versatile group of talented dreamers. We have athletes, actors, playwrights, musicians, writers and journalists becoming Green Grads. The desire to do great things has become woven into the culture of our company. Our service technicians aren't simply providing window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and pressure washing...they are working toward something special in their lives and Green Grads is proud to be part of that story. We all have our dreams and struggles. We're all students of the world. And it feels good when we deliver excellent service to you.
